early laundry drivers used horse drawn Wagons to deliver laundry….’ horses would go to the front of a business and the driver could walk through a building, collect the dirty laundry and have the horse meet him around the other side in the alley to take on the load…The newer model T-Wagons that eventually replaced horses couldn’t do that!’
